Registry circulars, not UPSC and not SSC
The Supreme Court of India recruits Court Masters, Personal Assistants, Junior Court Assistants, and similar posts through the Registry’s advertisements, not through SSC. Court Masters and PAs work directly with judicial work: orders, rosters, and transcription-like typing under deadline. Junior Court Assistants handle Registry clerical work. This page practises the typing half at 35 WPM for ten minutes with court-flavoured passages. It is not a CSE mock and not “UPSC typing.”
Written test, skill test (typing and/or shorthand depending on post), computer practical, and interview as per that vacancy circular is the usual shape. Graduation is typical; some posts want shorthand qualifications. A private typing certificate does not replace the Registry skill test. A practice screenshot does not enter a Registry file. Nothing here is transmitted to the Supreme Court. Read the vacancy circular in force, not a coaching brand that bolts UPSC onto a keyboard.
Court Master and PA shorthand load versus Junior Court Assistant typing
Court Master and PA-type posts often require shorthand as well as typing. Junior Court Assistant advertisements may emphasise computer typing without the same shorthand load. Read the vacancy circular. This page never simulates dictation; it only trains transcription-speed typing. If you applied for Court Master or PA, pair live audio with this keyboard. If you applied for JCA, do not invent a dictation paper from a Court Master friend’s plan.
English typing standards are often stricter than district-court clerical tests, commonly in the 35–40+ WPM band. This rehearsal’s 35 WPM gate is a floor, not a boast that you are Registry-ready. Competition includes experienced court stenographers. Practise clean legal English, not only SSC-style civic passages. A typo in a party name on a Supreme Court record is a serious error. Train accuracy above ego speed. Junior Court Assistant advertisements may emphasise computer typing alone.
35–40+ WPM English, often stricter than district courts
Treat the higher band as a hint, then convert the circular. Official error-counting, font, and backspace follow the Registry for that vacancy. This browser allows ordinary backspace so you can train recovery. If the letter is stricter, add never-correct sittings. Do not argue a CHSL 10,500 key-depression story at a Registry lab door unless the circular uses that language. Net accuracy after errors is what usually decides a qualifying skill test.
English is essential. Hindi may appear for some posts. Legal English vocabulary is part of the job even when the exam passage is generic. After you hold the timed gate, add petitioner, respondent, roster words, and the case titles you keep misspelling. The workplace is order-driven and public-facing. Exam typing is an artificial burst. Registry typing is deadline work with public records. Registry circulars are not UPSC papers and not SSC regional tests.
Experienced court stenographers in the same competition
You may sit beside people who already work in High Courts. Visible-passage WPM on this page is easier than their daily transcription from speech. That is why a comfortable 35 WPM civic score is not proof you will clear a Court Master transcription window. Pair audio if your post lists shorthand. Use this page so the keyboard is not the slow part after notes exist. Outlines remain the gate this site cannot score.
Computer practical and interview stages, when listed, are outside this browser. Practise Office-style tasks on a real desktop if the circular lists them. Interview preparation is not a WPM log. Clearing only this clock is incomplete for a multi-part Registry vacancy. Read the circular rather than a three-year-old Telegram PDF. Pattern extras change. Letterhead in force wins. A mistyped party name on a Supreme Court record is a serious error.
A typo in a party name on a Supreme Court record
Public records punish sloppy identifiers more than a district cause list already does. That is the professional argument for holding accuracy before you hunt 50 WPM. Use timed court prose for endurance, then type sample party names and roster-like strings slowly enough to stay clean. This pack is flavour, not the Court’s CIS. Official tools will not look like a browser. Match characters under a clock here; match identifiers as if the world will read them later.
Document verification matches the circular’s list. The candidate name in settings is a local label. Labs match photo and signature. Eat, use a familiar keyboard the day before, and bring glasses if you need them. A typing test is a vision test too. If your circular is a rare UPSC subordinate clerical notice, open that card instead. If it is the Registry, stay here. Letterhead decides. Experienced court stenographers sit in the same competition on purpose.
Graduation and shorthand qualifications the Registry actually wants
Some posts want shorthand qualifications in addition to a live skill test. A private institute paper helps you prepare; it does not replace the Registry sitting. Graduation rows are post-specific. Keyboard work does not rewrite them. A CSE attempt history is irrelevant. Do not import Civil Services age or attempt logic into a Registry form. Carry the documents the circular lists. This page practises the typing half at 35 WPM with court-flavoured passages.
Week one: confirm Court Master/PA versus JCA, language, and whether shorthand is listed. Baseline English here. Week two: accuracy and legal lists; daily audio if shorthand is listed. Week three: full-window holds and transcription from notes. Week four: computer practical if listed, reread the circular, rest. Law reading is not timed fingers. SSC civic passages are not Registry English. Split the week. English standards here are often stricter than a district-court clerical test.
Registry circulars that coaching brands keep calling UPSC
Open the UPSC subordinate card only if that rare notice is the one in your hand — and remember CSE itself has no typing paper. Open a High Court card if that High Court issued the admit card. Open this card if the Registry issued the circular. English legal typing overlaps. Shorthand load, competition, and public-record risk are heavier here than on many district clerical pages. Match the letterhead. Legal English vocabulary remains the job even when the passage looks generic.
If a paragraph here conflicts with the current vacancy circular, follow the circular. If the post has no typing test, you do not need this exam box. If it has shorthand, add dictation outside this page. A 35 WPM practice gate is a training floor, not a joining letter from the Registry. Official PDFs always win. Nothing here is transmitted to the Supreme Court of India. Private typing certificates never replace the Registry’s live skill test.
