Mumbai original side plus Nagpur, Aurangabad, and Panaji
The High Court of Judicature at Bombay, with benches at Nagpur, Aurangabad, and Panaji, recruits clerks, stenographers, and related ministerial cadres under its own rules. Clerical posts support original and appellate sides and benches across Maharashtra and Goa as the notice allocates. This page practises English court prose at a 35 WPM gate. It is not BMC Clerkship software and not an MPSC clerk-typist client. Bombay High Court is not a municipal employer.
Written examination, Marathi and/or English typing, shorthand for steno posts, and verification is the usual shape. Language papers can be decisive in Maharashtra. Maharashtra-specific educational rules and sometimes Marathi-language knowledge as essential qualification sit in the advertisement. Keyboard work does not rewrite them. A practice screenshot does not enter a High Court file. Nothing here is transmitted to Mumbai, Nagpur, Aurangabad, or Panaji. MPSC clerk-typist papers remain a Mantralaya channel, not this court.
Marathi typing that this English pack cannot finish for you
English typing in the 40 WPM region and Marathi typing requirements appear in several Bombay High Court clerical notices. This rehearsal uses a 35 WPM English practice gate. Switch paper language to Marathi for a Devanagari Marathi running-matter pack. A US QWERTY English test is not a Marathi test. Do not assume an English 35 WPM result clears a Marathi paper. Hindi on this site is not Marathi, even though both can use Devanagari — orthography and official vocabulary differ.
English plus Marathi is the usual pair. Hindi may appear. Confirm scripts in the advertisement. Spoken Mumbai Hindi or Konkani does not convert a Marathi sitting. Spoken Marathi does not convert an English sitting. Lock the printed pair in week one. Changing script after you see the lab keyboard wastes a sitting. This page can switch to Hindi running matter; that still does not install a Marathi IME on the High Court’s image.
BMC Clerkship as a different municipal employer
Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation clerkship is a different employer, a different skill test, and different service rules. Publicly documented BMC typing cutoffs are thinner than High Court notices. If your hall ticket is BMC, open that stand-in card and reread the municipal PDF. If it is Bombay High Court, stay here. Same city name in the news, different letterhead. MPSC clerk-typist papers are a third Mumbai-region employer in some years. Separate all three.
Benches mean you might work in Nagpur or Aurangabad after a Mumbai-centric preparation. The typing skill is the same; local language comfort is not. Panaji adds a Goa posting possibility when the notice allocates that way. Treat city allocation as a posting question, not as permission to skip Marathi if the PDF listed Marathi. The keyboard travels. The essential-language clause does not dissolve at CST station. A Mumbai-centric preparation still has to travel if the posting is Nagpur.
40 WPM English region in several notices, 35 WPM practice gate here
Treat 40 WPM English as a hint from several clerical notices, not as a statute. This page’s 35 WPM gate is a training floor so you can build a buffer. Convert the printed English figure. Convert the printed Marathi figure on a Marathi IME. Official error-counting, font, and backspace follow that year’s High Court notice. This browser allows ordinary backspace so you can train recovery. Do not argue an SSC CHSL key-depression story at a High Court lab door unless the PDF uses that language.
Stenographer posts add dictation this page does not play. Read the post name. Computer extras, if listed, need a real desktop. Clearing only English WPM here is incomplete for a bilingual notice. A four-week plan: baseline English here, daily Marathi IME if compulsory, legal spellings, full-window holds, reread the letter. Law reading is not timed fingers. MSCIT theory is not this skill test. Split the week. Steno posts add shorthand; peon or attendant rows may skip this clock.
Maharashtra language knowledge as essential qualification
Some advertisements print Marathi-language knowledge as essential. That clause can matter at verification even after a clean English sitting. Candidates who treat it as decoration fail the Marathi paper or fail DV. A practice WPM does not cure a missing language certificate if one is listed. Carry whatever the notice lists. The candidate name in settings is a local label. Labs match photo and signature. Marathi IME practice is mandatory if the notice makes Marathi compulsory.
Cause lists after joining include party names from Maharashtra and, where allocated, Goa. Accuracy on village and district spellings is a daily skill. Train English court prose first so you can pass the English paper. Then add custom lists of place names you mis-type. Wrong titles travel across benches. This pack is flavour, not CIS. Official tools will not look like a browser. Original-side and appellate-side offices still type orders under deadline.
Benches that relocate you after a Mumbai-centric preparation
Nagpur and Aurangabad are not consolation prizes; they are benches of the same High Court. If you trained only in a Mumbai hostel, the keyboard still works. If you skipped Marathi because your friends type English at Fort, the notice still wins. Prepare the printed languages as if you could be posted anywhere the allocation table allows. Speech comfort in one city is not a skill-test medium. Hindi on this site is not the Marathi orthography the lab may score.
After selection, keep weekly sittings in every script you qualified on. English decay is real on a Marathi-first desk. Marathi decay is real if you retreat to English social media. Orders must still match the signed original. Accuracy on Maharashtrian and Goan place names is the transferable habit. A 35 WPM practice gate is a training floor, not a Fort joining letter. Panaji, Aurangabad, and Nagpur benches still use this High Court’s rules.
Fort letterhead versus Mantralaya versus ward offices
Open the MPSC clerical card if the admit card is the state commission. Open the BMC card if the admit card is municipal. Open this card if the admit card is the High Court. Marathi decides many of those paths. This site finishes English (and Hindi) only. Add a Marathi IME for every notice that lists Marathi. Sit the matching URL the week of each lab. Do not assume one English gate covers three Mumbai-region employers.
If a paragraph here conflicts with the current High Court advertisement, follow the advertisement. If the post has no typing test, you do not need this exam box. If it has Marathi or shorthand, add those skills outside the limits of this page. Official PDFs always win. Nothing here is transmitted to the High Court. Several notices printed English near 40 WPM; this gate is 35 for training. Maharashtra language-knowledge clauses can be essential qualifications.
