Punjab SSSB clerks, Punjabi essential in real offices
Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board recruits clerical and stenographer posts for Punjab departments. Clerks sit in Punjab offices; Punjabi language knowledge is often essential even when English typing is tested. This page offers English clerical practice at 30 WPM / ten minutes. Punjabi Gurmukhi typing, when compulsory, must be practised with a Punjabi keyboard outside this page’s Hindi pack. It is not the Punjab and Haryana High Court paper. Board Gurmukhi papers never inherit Chandigarh High Court rules.
Written, typing in Punjabi and/or English, and DV as notified is the usual shape. Punjab-specific educational and language rules apply, sometimes including Punjabi as a qualifying subject in matric. Keyboard work does not rewrite those rows. A practice screenshot does not enter a PSSSB file. Nothing here is transmitted to the Board. Read the cycle you applied to. Stenographer posts are a different PSSSB skill track. Gurmukhi and Devanagari are different keyboards and different papers.
Gurmukhi outside this Hindi pack
Punjabi plus English is the real-world pair. This site offers English and Hindi. Do not treat Hindi as Punjabi. The scripts and keyboards differ. If your advertisement requires Punjabi, install a Gurmukhi layout and practise official-style passages yourself. Use this page for English, and for Hindi only if the notice mentions Hindi. Spoken Punjabi does not convert a Gurmukhi paper. Spoken Punjabi does not convert an English paper either. Police ministerial PDFs in Punjab remain a third letterhead.
English clerical typing practice here is a 30 WPM ten-minute slice. Convert the printed English figure. Official error-counting, font, and backspace follow PSSSB. This browser allows ordinary backspace so you can train recovery. If the letter is stricter, add never-correct sittings. Do not argue a CHSL key-depression story at a Punjab lab door unless the PDF uses that language. Hold accuracy first. Matric Punjabi as a qualifying subject is not a typing waiver.
Not the Chandigarh High Court paper
PSSSB is not the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Different employer, different skill test. Keep Chandigarh High Court practice on its own page. If your hall ticket is the High Court, open that card — English is the safest default there and Gurmukhi is also not simulated. If your hall ticket is PSSSB, stay here and take Punjabi seriously on the OS. Same region, different letterheads, different second-script weight. Matric Punjabi is a language clause, not a typing waiver.
District offices in Punjab type Punjabi notes and English letters. Bilingual accuracy is the job. After you hold the English timed gate, add custom lists of Punjab place names you mis-type in English, and build Gurmukhi lists on your own keyboard. Exam typing is a burst. Office typing is interruption and proper nouns. Wrong village spellings become file defects. This page offers English and Hindi; it cannot finish a Gurmukhi sitting.
English 30 WPM / ten minutes as the on-site slice
Treat 30 WPM as this page’s floor, not as a gazette quote of every PSSSB year. Convert the printed pair. If Punjabi is the paper that actually removes people, this site cannot finish that sitting for you. A huge English buffer with a dead Gurmukhi hand is a failing plan. Week one: confirm languages, baseline English here, install Gurmukhi if listed. Week two: accuracy in both. Week three: full-window holds. Week four: reread the letter, rest.
Document verification matches the PSSSB list, including language-subject rows. A practice WPM does not cure a missing Punjabi-in-matric clause if one is printed. Carry whatever the notice lists. The candidate name in settings is a local label. Labs match photo and signature. Eat, use a familiar desktop keyboard the day before, and bring glasses if you need them. Chandigarh High Court English is a two-state judiciary channel, not this Board.
Matric Punjabi as a qualifying subject in some rules
Some advertisements treat Punjabi as a qualifying subject in matric. That clause is not decoration and is not this clock. Meet it with documents. Meet the live typing papers separately. Keyboard work does not rewrite a missing subject row. Do not import Chandigarh High Court cadre logic into a PSSSB form. Do not import Delhi DSSSB bilingual logic either. Punjab’s pair is Punjabi plus English. Punjab-specific language rules live in the Board advertisement.
Stenographer posts add dictation this page does not play. Read the post name. Clearing only English WPM here is incomplete for a steno line or a Punjabi-compulsory clerk line. Computer extras, if listed, need a real desktop. Official software remains PSSSB’s. The browser geometry will not match the official client. Match characters under a clock on the scripts the notice named. A 30 WPM ten-minute English gate here is only the Latin-script slice.
District notes in Punjabi plus English letters after joining
Keep weekly sittings in every script you qualified on. Punjabi decay is real if you retreat to English social media. English decay is real on a Punjabi-first desk. Letters still go out in English. Notes still live in Gurmukhi. Accuracy on Punjab place names is the transferable habit. This pack is English (or Hindi) running matter, not a Gurmukhi simulator. Official tools will not look like a browser. District English letters still leave a Punjabi-first office.
If a paragraph here conflicts with the current PSSSB advertisement, follow the advertisement. If the post has no typing test, you do not need this exam box. If it has Punjabi or shorthand, add those skills outside the limits of this page. A 30 WPM practice gate is a training floor, not a joining letter. Nothing here is transmitted to the Board. Do not treat Hindi running matter as a secret Punjabi substitute.
Punjabi Gurmukhi at the board versus Chandigarh English
Open the Punjab and Haryana High Court card if the admit card is Chandigarh. Open this card if the admit card is PSSSB. English endurance helps both. Gurmukhi likely decides PSSSB. Two-state cadre rows decide the High Court. Sit the matching URL the week of each lab. Do not assume one English gate covers both letterheads. Opening this card does not install Gurmukhi. Opening the High Court card does not quote PSSSB’s matric-Punjabi clause.
Police ministerial papers in Punjab, if you hold one, are a third letterhead. Read that PDF separately. This page is the Board’s clerical English slice plus a loud Gurmukhi warning. Official PDFs always win. Match the header, not the region’s reputation for bilingual offices. District offices still emit Punjabi notes and English letters on the same day. Police ministerial papers in Punjab, if you hold one, are a third PDF.
