Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission recruits Junior Assistants and similar ministerial posts for UP departments. Junior Assistants handle district and directorate clerical work across Uttar Pradesh, mostly in Hindi files with English forms. This page’s default practice gate is 30 WPM for ten minutes. Hindi typing is usually the centre of gravity, often near 25–30 WPM, with English additional in some notices. Confirm the current pair. This rehearsal’s 30 WPM gate is a training floor, not a gazette quote. Hindi Devanagari is essential for most UP junior assistant work. Roman Hindi is not Hindi typing. English may be compulsory or qualifying extra. English WPM does not convert. Spoken Hindustani does not convert a Devanagari sitting.
UP candidates fail when they practise only English SSC mocks. If your notice is Hindi 25 or 30 WPM, that is the paper to master. InScript on a desktop is closer to many labs than phone typing. PET scores that do not automatically carry forward
UPSSSC educational, PET, or typing-eligibility rules change between advertisements. Do not assume last cycle’s PET still opens this cycle’s door. UPPSC RO/ARO is a different commission with secretariat work and its own skill test. Allahabad High Court is the judiciary. UP Police ministerial is a police board. If your hall ticket names those bodies, open those cards. Opening this card for a High Court form teaches the wrong tehsil-versus-cause-list story. Opening a CHSL card teaches the wrong Hindi-first warning. Match the letterhead. Allahabad High Court cause lists are a third UP letterhead entirely.
Roman Hindi as a failing substitute for Devanagari
Candidates who type Hindi in Roman letters on phones arrive unable to produce matras and conjuncts under a clock. That is the classic UP junior-assistant failure. Train Devanagari until conjuncts are boring, then add speed. Tehsil and directorate files are Hindi-first. Build matra accuracy, then endurance. The official passage may still be generic. After you hold the timed gate, add village names and file-number-like strings. A previous PET score does not automatically travel into the next cycle.
Computer practical cycles sit beside typing in some years. Practise those tasks on a real desktop. Clearing only WPM here is then incomplete. Official error-counting, font, and backspace follow UPSSSC for that cycle. This browser allows ordinary backspace so you can train recovery. If the letter freezes correction, add never-correct sittings. Net accuracy after errors is what usually decides a qualifying test. Build conjunct and matra accuracy before you hunt extra Hindi speed.
Tehsil files and matra accuracy after you hold the clock
District offices type Hindi notes all day. Timed Devanagari accuracy is the transferable skill. Exam typing is a quiet paragraph. Tehsil typing is interruption and proper nouns. After you qualify, keep a weekly Hindi sitting so the skill does not decay before joining. English forms will still appear; keep a smaller English sitting if you also qualified on English. Bilingual decay is real if you drop one script. English extra papers never convert a missing Hindi sitting.
Document verification matches the current advertisement. The candidate name in settings is a local label. Labs match photo and signature. A practice WPM does not cure a missing certificate. Carry whatever the notice lists. Eat, use a familiar desktop keyboard the day before, and bring glasses if you need them. A typing test is a vision test too. English SSC mocks as the wrong weekly diet for this notice
Week one: confirm Hindi and English lines, baseline Devanagari on InScript. Week two: matra accuracy and number-row for file numbers. Week three: full ten-minute holds at the printed Hindi line; English only if listed. Week four: village-name lists, computer practical if listed, reread the letter, rest. GS for the written paper is not InScript. InScript is not GS. Split the week. Do not hide in English CHSL because Hindi feels slower.
