Junior Associate: Prelims, mains, then circle-language LPT
State Bank of India recruits Junior Associates through its own advertisement. After mains, a Language Proficiency Test in the specified local language is required. SBI does not publish a national live typing WPM exam as part of that LPT. This page is only a three-minute typing familiarity drill some candidates use, clearly labelled unofficial. It is not SBI-certified. A typing score here has zero official weight. Nothing here is transmitted to SBI.
Junior Associates work at branches. Daily work is CBS, cash, and customer communication in the local language plus English. Official stages are Prelims, mains, LPT. This box does not affect those stages. SBI JA rules sit in the advertisement. Keyboard work does not rewrite them. If you cannot read and write the local language of the circle you applied to, LPT is the real risk, not WPM. Do not hide in this English typing box instead of practising that language.
LPT is usually reading, writing, or conversation, not 35 WPM SSC
LPT checks that you can work in the circle’s language. It may include reading or writing, not a 35 WPM SSC-style paper. Follow the SBI notice for the exact format. This page is optional keyboard warm-up only. A high English WPM does not clear LPT. A cleared LPT does not require this clock. If the circle language is a script this site does not finish, practise it on your operating system with real sentences, not with a three-minute English burst.
Coaching ads sometimes blur SBI LPT with IBPS rumours and SSC skill tests. Keep them separate. IBPS CRP clerk is a different letterhead with the same honest warning: no standard live WPM paper. SSC CHSL is a real skill-test commission paper. If you also sit CHSL, open that card for a ten-minute qualifying gate. If you sit SBI JA, stay here only for unofficial familiarity. Three-minute unofficial familiarity drill
The clock is short on purpose. It is not a ten-minute CHSL clone because SBI does not run that paper. Use it to see whether you hunt and peck and whether names stay clean. The practice gate is 30 WPM as a personal benchmark. Official software will not look like this browser — because there is no official national typing client for LPT. Do not screenshot this result onto an SBI form.
After joining, branch typing is emails, CBS fields, and memos. Accuracy on customer names and account numbers matters. Use this page as private practice, then type sample name-and-number fields as a custom drill. Wrong account digits are a compliance defect. Exam-style bursts are optional. Desk accuracy is not optional once you are on a counter. This pack is clerical English, not a CBS client. CBS names and account numbers become compliance defects after joining.
Zero official weight for a score here
The candidate name in settings is a local label. Eligibility, circle, and document lists sit in the SBI advertisement. Keyboard work does not rewrite them. A browser result is not a certificate and not a hall ticket. If your advertisement never mentioned typing — and the national JA path does not treat LPT as WPM — you do not need this exam box for official purposes. Optional keyboard fitness is harmless.
Circle you applied to names the LPT language. Changing circle after you hid in English WPM is how people fail LPT. Read the language listed for that circle before you apply. Then practise that language with reading and writing. This English clock cannot rescue a circle-language gap. If you already applied, spend the gap after mains on that language, not on raising this page from 30 to 45 WPM. Circle language reading remains the Junior Associate gate.
Hiding in English WPM instead of practising the circle language
That hiding is the local trap this card exists to name. English comfort feels like progress. LPT does not score English WPM. Week one of a sensible extra plan: confirm the circle language and start daily reading aloud and writing. Week two: optional three-minute English runs only if hunt-and-peck would embarrass you on a counter. Week three: more circle-language work. Week four: reread the LPT instructions, rest. People who invert that order fail the stage that exists.
Document verification matches the SBI list. Carry whatever the notice lists. Labs, if any for LPT, match identity documents. A practice WPM does not cure a missing language ability. Eat, sleep, and bring glasses if you need them for a reading test. Official PDFs always win if they disagree with this guide. Nothing here is transmitted to State Bank of India. Junior Associate LPT is the circle language, not a national WPM paper.
Branch CBS fields and customer names after joining
Keep a short weekly English sitting if you want the habit alive through the joining gap. Then practise fields slowly enough to stay clean. Look at every account number twice. Throughput without accuracy is rework and risk. Official CBS screens will not look like this browser. A 30 WPM trophy does not transfer. Clean identifiers do. Local-language customer conversation still sits beside English emails. Keep both skills. SBI does not certify this three-minute drill as part of selection.

Circle you applied to names the LPT language
Open the IBPS clerk card if the advertisement is CRP. Open this card if the advertisement is SBI Junior Associate. Open SSC cards if you also sit a real skill-test commission paper. Those commission papers are live WPM gates. This card is not. Sit the matching URL. Do not treat a bank-prep benchmark as if it were DEST. SBI does not publish a national live typing WPM exam as part of LPT.
Participating-bank rumours from IBPS friends do not rewrite SBI’s circle rules. SBI rumours do not rewrite IBPS. Keep the letterheads straight. Official handbooks always win.
