Indonesia has no single national WPM exam inside CPNS
CPNS selection is run through BKN’s national framework: typically administrative screening, SKD on CAT, then SKB or other agency stages. Typing speed is not a universal CPNS subject the way SKD TWK, TIU, and TKP are. Individual instansi — a ministry, a pemda, a pengadilan, a rumah sakit — sometimes add a ujian praktek komputer or a ketik requirement in their SKB. India Typing Test’s CPNS card is a ten-minute Bahasa Indonesia clerical rehearsal at a 30 WPM practice gate for those agency-specific sittings. It is not CAT, not SSCN, and not a BKN score.
If your formasi never lists ketik or Microsoft Word praktek, you do not need this card for CPNS. Study SKD. If the instansi’s pengumuman SKB mentions mengetik, korespondensi, or input data, then a timed copy block is rational gym work. Always download that instansi’s petunjuk teknis. They decide language, duration, and whether the test is Word formatting rather than WPM.
SKD versus SKB: do not practise the wrong gate
SKD is a computer-based multiple-choice exam. Typing practice will not raise a TIU score. SKB is where agencies invent job-related tasks: interviews, psikotes, computer practice, sometimes typing. Mixing SKD drills with this typing card in the same hour is a common panic pattern the week of CAT. Split the calendar. Use this page after SKD, or in short evening blocks that cannot steal SKD hours.
BKN sets the national machinery. Instansi set SKB content. A friend who typed for Pengadilan Negeri is not a source for a Kemenkes formasi. Read your own PDF. This site cannot list every instansi’s 2026 SKB because they publish late and change.
Bahasa Indonesia is the default paper, English is optional
Most instansi put Bahasa Indonesia on screen. This card opens in Bahasa: surat-dinas style running matter on ordinary Latin QWERTY. Switch to English only if your petunjuk teknis names an English naskah. Do not treat an English 30 WPM as proof you will pass a Bahasa sitting, and do not treat a Bahasa 30 WPM as proof of an English mixed paper.
If the SKB is Microsoft Word — margins, surat dinas formatting — a WPM site is only a small slice. Practise Word on a real desktop. Then use this card so raw keyboard speed is not the surprise inside the Word window.
Thirty WPM is a training floor, not BKN regulation
There is no honest national CPNS WPM number. Agencies that care about ketik sometimes sit near ordinary clerical speeds; some care more about accuracy on names and NIK-like digits. This card uses 30 WPM for ten minutes as a modest floor so beginners have a target without copying an Indian 35 WPM CHSL myth onto SSCN forms.
If your instansi printed a different number or a keystroke count, train to that. If they printed none and only said “praktek komputer,” treat accuracy and Word as the real test and use this page as warm-up. A screenshot from India Typing Test will not upload into SSCN as a nilai SKB.
Names, NIK patterns, and surat dinas punctuation
Agency typing fails on proper names, dates in Indonesian formats, and copied alamat. After a timed Bahasa run, add custom lists: jabatan titles, city names, and dummy IDs you invent — never real personal data. If SKB includes data entry, add digits. If it includes surat, add commas and colons as they appear in official letters.
Lab computers may use a different keyboard (some still surprise people who only type on phone). Practise on a physical keyboard. Phonetic phone typing is a weak predictor of a ministry lab in Jakarta or a pemda lab up-country.
A calendar that does not sabotage SKD
Until SKD: at most ten minutes of typing on days you already finished a CAT block. After you know SKB contents: if ketik is listed, move to daily ten-minute runs on this card plus Bahasa custom work. If ketik is not listed, stop and study the SKB they actually named.
Do not buy a “paket CPNS mengetik” that promises a national cutoff. There isn’t one. There is your instansi’s PDF. Official CAT software and SKB panitia instructions always win over a foreign practice site.
Who should never open this card
Anyone whose pengumuman has no computer praktek. Anyone who still has not sat SKD and is using typing as procrastination. Anyone looking for US OPM or Australian AS 2708 — wrong country. CPNS is Indonesian civil-service entry. This card is a narrow extra for agencies that happen to care about keyboarding.
Use it if a kejaksaan, pengadilan, rumah sakit, or pemda SKB letter mentions mengetik or input naskah. Bahasa Indonesia is the default paper; switch to English only if the petunjuk teknis names it. BKN will not see your score here. The panitia might still watch your fingers in a lab.
