When is the IOB LBO exam?

The online exam is on 24 and 29 September 2026. Your date is the one printed on the call letter, not both days. Reporting time is usually much earlier than the start of the test. Reach the city a night before if you have a morning slot. IOB will not take a request to swap 24 September for 29 September because a train is full.

How many IOB LBO vacancies are there?

This cycle lists 250 Local Bank Officer posts. Language / state conditions, if any, are in the IOB advertisement. Do not mix this 250 with Bank of Baroda’s 2,482 LBO posts or with IOB’s 550 indicative IBPS PO seats. They are three different pipelines.

I also got an IOB Apprentice DV letter. Is that the same exam?

No. IOB Apprentice published a merit list on 15 September 2026 with about 700 provisionally selected candidates and DV mostly on 21–22 September 2026. LBO is a separate officer exam with a 17 September admit card and 24 / 29 September CBT. Carry the correct letter to the correct venue. An apprentice DV centre will not admit an LBO candidate.

What should I carry to the IOB LBO centre?

Printed call letter, original photo ID as named on the letter, and photocopies if instructed. Follow the dress / electronic-device ban printed on the admit card. Reach before the last entry time. After the exam, wait for IOB’s next notice — language test or interview as per the advertisement — on iob.in, not on random score-predictor groups.

Indian Overseas Bank Local Bank Officer has entered the exam window. The admit card was released on 17 September 2026. The online exam is on 24 and 29 September 2026 for 250 vacancies.

This is not IOB Apprentice DV (merit list 15 September, DV 21–22 September) and not Bank of Baroda LBO (2,482 posts, October tentative). Download the IOB LBO call letter only from iob.in careers.

Check name, category, exam city, reporting time and photo. Carry the printed hall ticket plus the photo ID listed in the instructions. Late entry rules at bank test centres are strict.
