When is IOB Apprentice document verification?

Most provisionally selected candidates have DV on 21 and 22 September 2026. Your letter may print a different reporting time or a later date — follow that letter, not this summary. Carry educational certificates, ID, category documents, police verification forms if asked, and passport photographs. Medical fitness can be a same-day or later step.

Is IOB Apprentice a permanent bank job?

No. Engagement is under the Apprentices Act for a fixed training period with stipend, not Clerk / PO regular pay. Completing apprenticeship does not automatically convert into a CSA or officer vacancy. Read the IOB contract PDF. Do not resign another job solely because your name is on a provisional 700-candidate list until DV and medical are cleared.

I applied for IOB LBO. Should I go to apprentice DV?

Only if you are also on the 15 September apprentice merit list. LBO candidates whose exam is on 24 or 29 September should go to the CBT centre printed on the 17 September call letter. Mixing the two letters is a common September 2026 mistake because both are IOB processes in the same fortnight.

What if I miss DV on 21–22 September 2026?

Banks rarely keep an open-ended second DV for apprenticeship. Email the helpdesk printed on the merit notice only if the letter itself allows a request. Do not send documents to a Gmail ID shared on Telegram. After DV, wait for engagement letters on iob.in.

Indian Overseas Bank Apprentice selection has moved to joining paperwork. The merit list was released on 15 September 2026. About 700 candidates are provisionally selected.

Document verification for most candidates is on 21 and 22 September 2026. This is not the IOB LBO online exam (24 and 29 September). Apprentice engagement follows the Apprentices Act stipend rules, not PO scale pay.

If your registration is on the 15 September PDF, attend DV with originals. If it is not, there is no extra written exam in this apprentice cycle unless IOB publishes a second list.
